Whenever performing in sports competitions, our athletes have proven to be excellent ambassadors of Saxony. They know how to inspire fans and open people’s hearts. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are going to find their way to the 2010 Winter Olympics and meet in Vancouver.
Yet so far away from home, we would like those guests to closely meet both our athletes and our Free State of Saxony. At the Olympic Games in Turin I was able to witness how many visitors were attracted by the “Casa Sassonia” and how much they enjoyed finding out interesting facts about Saxony. We are expecting this to become true for Vancouver in 2010 as well.
Once again we will have the opportunity to introduce all of Saxony’s qualities to an international audience – be it as a business location, an attractive travel destination, or as a point of interest for culture and sports enthusiasts. In order for our Saxony House to succeed and open its gates in Vancouver, we require companies, athletes, politicians, winter sports agencies, and tourism experts to form a powerful cooperation.
Be part of this project and join in! We look forward to seeing you in the Saxony House in Vancouver.

Stanislaw Tillich,
Prime Minister Saxony
